B was determined to escape their tank at all times despite me taking each of them out separately to exercise. She injured herself during an escape attempt but didn’t let it stop her from flying around. C led a low life, sticking close to the bottom of the tank instead of flying at the top with A and B. This led to his wings getting torn but he stayed active till the end. A was the only one out of the three to lead a calm life. She stayed sleeping in the flowers during the day and flew to the top at night. B was four days old as a moth when she passed. A and C were six.

I named each of my moths. As caterpillars it was impossible to tell their genders so i named them by their size and food preference. Hence the name A.B.C. Once moths I was able to see I had two females and one male.

In 2022 I had bought three hornworms from my local exotic pet store, and decided to keep them alive. I put them back on their natural diet, watched them grow and pupate, and eventually turn into beautiful Giant Sphinx Hawk-Moths.
